Pelican is a fishing village on the northwest coast of Chichagof Island on Lisianski Inlet in the US state of Alaska .
history
Kalle "Charley" Raataikainen bought fish in this area which he brought to Sitka . He chose this place in the sheltered bay as the ideal camp site and named it after his boat, the Pelican.
