Penzing is a place in the municipality of Babensham in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim . Penzing has around 400 inhabitants, making it the largest village in the Babensham municipality with its 78 districts.

Penzing is two kilometers southwest of Babensham and one kilometer northeast of Wasserburg am Inn , on the state road St 2092 from Wasserburg to Mühldorf, directly on the Penzinger See lake to the east.

The old community of Penzing and today's district of Penzing includes the districts of Bärnham , Bergham , Blaufeld , Neudeck , Odelsham , Puttenham , Riepertsham , Straßloh , Stürzlham , Thalham , Troitsham and Würmertsham .
history
Penzing is first mentioned in a document in 1255. There is talk of a Dominikus Conradus de Penzingen. Until 1970 Penzing was an independent municipality. As a result of the regional reform, Penzing was incorporated into the Babensham community on July 1, 1970. The area of the former municipality of Penzing now forms the district of Penzing.

Penzing has its own volunteer fire brigade . She is responsible for the entire area of the Penzing district. Penzing also has a shooting club that has existed since 1906.
