Penzing is a place in the municipality of Babensham in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim . Penzing has around 400 inhabitants, making it the largest village in the Babensham municipality with its 78 districts.

Penzing is two kilometers southwest of Babensham and one kilometer northeast of Wasserburg am Inn , on the state road St 2092 from Wasserburg to Mühldorf, directly on the Penzinger See lake to the east.

Penzing is first mentioned in a document in 1255. There is talk of a Dominikus Conradus de Penzingen. Until 1970 Penzing was an independent municipality. As a result of the regional reform, Penzing was incorporated into the Babensham community on July 1, 1970. The area of ​​the former municipality of Penzing now forms the district of Penzing.
