Penzling is a district of the municipality of Aholming in the Lower Bavarian district of Deggendorf .

The church village is located in the Gäuboden about two kilometers southwest of Aholming.

history

In 1273 a Leupold von Penzling took an estate as a fief from Niederaltaich Monastery . In the second Duke's Surbar around 1280, the bailiffs of Aholming and Penzling already appear under the Hengersberg court . In 1368 an Albrecht der Perchkhaimer zu Penzling is proven. In 1416, Bishop Georg von Passau pledged the Passau property in Aholming and Penzling to Heinrich Notthracht von Wernberg .

Among the Notthafft Penzling came to power Aholming. In the 16th century it was still regarded as its own closed Hofmark , but subsequently it became part of the rule of Aholming, whose jurisdiction also extended to Penzling. In 1855 the village of Penzling had thirty houses.

Attractions

The early Gothic branch church of St. Jakobus d. Ä. dates from the 14th century. The choir is late Gothic. The nave was changed in the Baroque period .
