The pavilion was built as a Belgian pavilion on the World Exhibition Grounds for Expo 2000, which took place in Hanover from June 1 to October 31, 2000 and was attended by 178 nations and international organizations. The building, which can be completely dismantled, was designed by the Belgian architecture firm Groep Planning CV .

It is a white steel structure with a flat steel lattice roof. A roof terrace covered with wooden planks lies under the bars. During the expo, the entrance area led to the various presentation rooms in which the Belgian population groups, the Flemish and Walloons, as well as the German-speaking community and the Brussels region presented themselves . A panorama painting was shown in a common room. The restaurant that still exists today was on the upper floor, from where the roof terrace can be reached.

After Expo 2000, the Hanover-based music producer Mousse T. acquired the pavilion and converted it into a music and event center. The event space is operated by the event agency Peppermint Event .
