Per Brogeland (born January 27, 1953 ) is a former Norwegian soccer player and current soccer coach .
Career
player
Per Brogeland started his career at Eidsvold Turn . Between 1971 and 1984 they played 251 games and scored 48 goals. His career at Eidsvold Turn was only interrupted by a one-year stint at Lillestrøm SK , where he played nine games with four goals. Internationally, on May 22, 1974, he had his only appearance in a U-21 international match that was lost 1-0 to the GDR.
Trainer
Per Brogeland began his coaching career at his home club Eidsvold Turn as an assistant coach. After his time at Eidsvold Turn he coached the women's national team of Norway from 1990 to 1991 together with Even Pellerud , before he took over the coaching position at Kongsvinger IL in 1992 . A year later he received the Kniksenprisen as best coach in Norway. In 1996 he moved to Lillestrøm SK, where he works in a coaching team. However, he wanted to be alone again head coach after a short time, he that after Austria for LASK Linz changed. He works very successfully in Austria and was responsible, among other things, for the introduction of the back four in the Austrian Bundesliga . Completely surprisingly, he was dismissed on April 3, 1998 after a 5-0 victory over SK Rapid Wien and third place in the championship of President Wolfgang Rieger. After the end of his coaching activity in Austria, he returned to Norway, where he again took over the coaching position at Kongsvinger IL. In 1999 he left this club again. In 2001 he finally took over Hønefoss BK . After several games without a win and a historic 6-0 defeat for the club, he had to vacate the coaching chair. Between 2002 and 2005 he was responsible for the U21s of the Norwegian women's national team. After this job he got a job as an assistant coach at FC Lyn Oslo ; however, he also took on the duties of a talent scout. On January 1, 2009, he took over the coaching position at his home club Eidsvold Turn. With Geir Frigård , his former player at Lillestrøm SK and LASK Linz, he has formed the coaching team of Eidsvold Turn since then.
