Per Daniel Göransson (born January 8, 1986 ) is a Swedish - Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with CBR Brave in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2018 .

Career

Per Daniel Göransson began his career as an ice hockey player with Mälarhöjden / Bredäng Hockey in Stockholm. At the age of 15 he switched to the youth division of Hammarby Hockey, which is also based in Stockholm . There he went through the youth teams up to the J20 SuperElit and already played at the age of 18 in the first men's team, which at that time competed in the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan and in which he was active until 2007. In the 2004/05 season he also played two games for league rivals Uppsala HC . After the bankruptcy of Hammarby Hockey, he played in 2008/09 for the Bajen Fans Hockey founded by the supporters of the club in the sixth class Division 4 and achieved promotion to Division 3 . However, he did not play there, but ended his career for the time being due to various injuries.

Göransson went to Perth to study in 2011. There he resumed his career in 2015 and initially joined the Northern Vikings from the second-rate Western Australian Super League. In 2016 and 2017 he then played for Perth Thunder , whose General Manager he met during his exam phase, in the Australian Ice Hockey League . In the 2018 season he moved to CBR Brave and won the team's first championship title with the Canberra club in his first season there.

International

Göransson was naturalized to Australia in 2017. For the national team from Down Under he played for the first time at the World Cup of Division II in 2018 , when the team finished second behind hosts Netherlands .
