Per Digerud (born July 25, 1933 in Oslo ; † August 13, 1988 ibid) was a Norwegian cyclist and national champion in cycling.

Life

Digerud was Norwegian road cycling champion ten times , including three times in road races (1960, 1961, 1964), six times in individual time trials (1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1961 and 1962) and once in team time trials (1962). In 1955 he was on the track national champion in the individual pursuit .

He took part in the International Peace Tour three times: in 1960 he retired, in 1961 he placed 53rd and 1962 70th.

He represented Norway at the 1960 Summer Olympics and finished 71st in the road race.

The Kongepokal (King's Cup), which is awarded for the best athletic performance at Norwegian championships, was awarded to Digerud in 1955, 1956, 1958, 1961 and 1962.

Private

He is the father of Geir Digerud , who was a professional driver in Italy in the early 1980s . After his cycling career , he was the chairman of his club, SK Rye . He ran a bicycle shop in Oslo, where u. a. its own line of products was offered.
