Per "Texas" Johansson (* 1969 in Södertälje ) is a Swedish jazz musician ( woodwind instruments ).

Live and act

Per "Texas" Johansson worked around 1990 with Thore Swanerud, Gugge Hedrenius, in the 1990s in the Stockholm Jazz Orchestra and Lina Nyberg . In 1997 he recorded his debut album with Fredrik Ljungkvist , Dan Berglund and Mickel Ulfberg (EMI / Kaza). In the 2000s he also played with Atomic , Goran Kajfeš , Peter Asplund , Dicken Hedrenius, the Bo Kaspers Orkester and with Torbjörn Zetterberg . He also worked with his own bands, which made up musicians such as Paal Nilssen-Love and Johan Lindströmemerged. In the field of jazz he was involved in 21 recording sessions between 1987 and 2007. For his album Alla Mina Kompisar he received the Gyllene Skivan in 1998 ; He received another Gyllene Skivan in 2015 for De långa rulltrapporna i Flemingsberg! .

He should not be confused with the football player of the same name (* 1978) and with the jazz musician Per "Rusktrask" Johansson, who u. a. worked with Nils Landgren and Victoria Tolstoy .
