Pere Joan i Tous

Pere Joan i Tous (* 1952 ) is a Spanish romanist .

Life

From 1956 to 1970 he attended schools in Rosny-sous-Bois and Palma . After studying philosophy , Romance studies and history at the University of Barcelona (1971–1973) , he attended the preparatory college at the University of Munich in 1973 . After studying Romance and German studies (1974–1979) at the University of Würzburg , he was a research assistant at the Institute for Romance Studies in Würzburg from 1979 to 1984 . From 1984 to 1990 he was a lecturer (university assistant) at the Institute for Romance Studies at the Ruhr University in Bochum . From 1990 to 1995 he was Academic Councilor , Institute for Romance Studies, University of Paderborn . From 1995 to 1997 he was visiting professor at the Universities of Rostock , Duisburg and Tübingen . From 1997 to 2018 he taught as a professor for Romance studies at the University of Konstanz . Since 2003 he has held regular guest lectureships at the University of Alexandru Ioan Cuza Iași .
