Perianne Jones (born February 18, 1985 in Almonte ) is a former Canadian cross-country skier .

Career

Jonas took part in the Continental Cup from 2001 to 2004. From 2004 to 2015 she competed in the Nor Am Cup, which she won in 2008 and 2011 , and in the cross-country skiing world cup . At the Canadian Cross Country Ski Championships in 2005, she won silver over 5 km classic. She ran her first World Cup race in December 2005 in Vernon , which she finished with 45th place in the 15 km skiathlon . She finished the 2007/08 Tour de Ski in 47th place. She won her first World Cup point in January 2008 in Canmore with 30th place in the sprint. Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec were 48th place over 10 km classic and sixth place in the team sprint. The 41st place in the sprint and 15th place in the relay she reached at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver . Her best placings at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo were 29th place in the sprint and sixth place in the team sprint. In January 2012 in Milan she achieved a podium finish in the World Cup for the first time with third place in the team sprint. At the Canadian cross-country skiing championships in 2012, she took silver over 5 km classic. In January 2013 she finished ninth in the sprint, her best individual World Cup result. At the Canadian cross-country skiing championships in 2013, she won bronze twice. The 2012/13 season she finished 53rd in the overall World Cup ranking and 27th in the sprint ranking. Her best results at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi were 23rd place in the sprint and 11th place in the team sprint. At the Canadian Cross Country Ski Championships in 2014, she won silver in the sprint. In February 2015, at the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun , she achieved 37th place in the skiathlon, 32nd place over 10 km freestyle and 24th place in the sprint. The following month, she became the Canadian sprint champion. After the 2014/15 season, she ended her career.
