Perlenhaus is a district of the city of Schönwald .

Perlenhaus is located on federal highway 15 between Rehau and Schönwald . It is located directly on the city or district boundary. The Rehau district of Eulenhammer in the district of Hof and the Schönwald district of Sophienreuth in the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains are located a short distance away .

The Perlenbach is named after it . Margrave Georg Friedrich Karl had the predecessor of the listed pearl house built in 1732 . The current building dates back to 1764. The house has a hipped roof and was originally equipped with half-timbering on the upper floor . It was inhabited by "pearl inspectors" until 1872. The pearls of the freshwater pearl mussel were extremely rare even then, but can no longer be found today.
