Grünauer Vorwerk is a district of the city of Schönwald .

The hamlets of Grünauer Vorwerk and Grünauermühle are located north-northeast of the city center of Schönwald on the road from Grünhaid to Schönlind . The federal highway 93 is in the immediate vicinity.

This is where Grünau used to be. After Höllerich, the place was first mentioned around 1360/65 in the possession of the Raitenbacher . The place and a hammer mill are mentioned in 1372 in a deed of sale from Konrad von Neuberg to the council of Eger . Grünau takes its name from the Perlenbach , which used to be called "Gryna". According to Malter in 1414, Grünau is called a desert , he sees the Vorwerk as a settlement remainder of the original village.

The house is a listed building, a single-storey fracked roof with a stepped half-timbered gable from the second half of the 18th century. At the rear long side there is a younger dwelling .
