Perm Airlines ( Russian Пермские авиалинии ) was a Russian airline based in Perm and based at Bolshoye Savino Airport . It was most recently a subsidiary of S7 Airlines .

history

As a small regional airline, it emerged from the Aeroflot division stationed there in 1992 . The company flew both in scheduled air traffic and in the charter sector. In October 2006, S7 Airlines announced that it had signed a code- sharing agreement with Perm Airlines on the Perm-Moscow route . Since the beginning of 2007 it has been operated by S7 Airlines, which has fully integrated it. S7 pays the owner, the Perm region, a monthly rent for this.

There were several rumors around the company that it would be bought by major airlines. In January 2006, Aeroflot was mentioned as a prospect. According to the chairman of the regional government, Nikolai Buchwalow, the company was heading for bankruptcy and could only be saved by handing over management to an investor. In December 2006 , S7 Airlines, Aeroflot and Ural Airlines were named as potential investors by the owner, the Perm Krai government . The criteria for a contract were securing the existence of the aircraft fleet at the location and the expansion of the route network. S7 was awarded the contract because the company made the financially best offer. In February 2007 the process of integrating the company into S7 Airlines began. S7 is stationing an additional Boeing 737 at Perm Airport to expand the service in Perm. Otherwise, she took over the employees and the fleet of Perm Airlines and continued the connections. The small regional aircraft were still operated by Perm Airlines themselves.

However, as early as March 2007, the Perm public prosecutor's office investigated S7 on suspicion of tax irregularities and 112 "incidents in air traffic". This also includes the fact that every fourth flight is said to have been delayed. According to the Perm government, this is a three-month balance that the Perm airline previously had in a year. This is a violation of the contract negotiated in December. On the other hand, S7 argued that competitive pressure at the airport had increased and that S7 was one of the least delayed compared to other Russian airlines.

On May 19, 2009, the Russian civil aviation authority revoked its operating license.
