Perroquet ( French for parrot ) is the third solo album by the Hamburg rapper Haiyti . It was released on June 7, 2019 exclusively for download via the major label Universal . On July 26, 2019, the album was also released on record , including the Zanzibar EP.

The songs on the album were produced by music producers Macloud, Bobby San, Miksu , AsadJohn , Skool Boy, Maru and Zillin Muzik.

Cover design

The album cover shows a figure of Haiyti, who crosses her arms behind her head and wears white underwear and yellow high heels . The figure is floating on a green shimmering surface of water. In the upper part of the picture are the white lettering Haiyti and Perroquet .

Guest Posts

Besides Haiyti, other artists are only represented on two songs on the album. The rapper Milonair can be heard on Droptop , while she works with the rapper Lent in Tanzania .

Singles

On April 5, 2019, the first single Chatboy was released for download and a week later the second single followed with Barkash . The third single Alles Gucci was released on May 10, followed by the song It costs on May 24, 2019. Music videos were also shot for the songs Chatboy and Alles Gucci . On June 16, a video for Coco Chanel was also released and on June 28, 2019, Sansibar EP's first single, Mann aus Eis , was released, before Blind vor Geld followed on July 12 . Another music video for Zanzibar was released on July 26, 2019.

Perroquet seems “emptier than usual in terms of content” and “the lyrics are like a string of meaningless consumption.” Haiyti, on the other hand, uses “the space that the cool productions leave and experiments with their flow.” Overall, the album “leaves the impression that Haiyti himself it is not entirely sure how it will sound in the future.
