Petar Josef Georg Levin Count Orssich von Slavetich (usually briefly Petar Graf Orssich or Peter Graf Orssich ; * May 4, 1907 in Vienna , † July 3, 1961 in Saint-Dizier , France ) was an Austrian (according to some sources also German) nobleman and automobile racers .

Career

Petar Graf Orssich was the son of Georg Franz Robert Graf Orssich von Slavetich (1865-1937) and Valeria Henriette Orssich Slavetich (* 1876; † approx. 1945). His first marriage was to Erna Orssich Slavetich, née von Back de Bégavár, and his second marriage to Maria Orssich, née Mayerl (* 1902; † unknown). With Erna Orssich he had a son, Count Aleksander Orssich von Slavetich (* 1932).

Orssich was active as a car racing driver in the 1930s and went to Adler-Trumpf racing cars and the like in the Adlerwerke works team . a. interlocutory 1936 and 1938 at the 24-hour race at Le Mans and in 1936 and 1938 at the Spa 24 Hours at the start. It also recorded a race start on Impéria in 1938 in Antwerp , Belgium .

At Le Mans in 1937 and 1938, in a team with Rudolph Sauerwein , he achieved sixth place and class victory. In Spa, the Orssich / Sauerwein team reached seventh place in 1936 and won the class; in 1938 it was canceled after an accident.

Orssich was still active after the Second World War and, for example, drove a Porsche 1500 races in Austria in 1952 .

Petar Graf Orssich died on July 3, 1961 at the age of 54 in Saint-Dizier, France.
