Peter Bloetzer

Peter Bloetzer (* 16th September 1933 in Brig , † 11. October 2018 in Visp , heimatberechtigt in Wiler , Ferden and Visp) was a Swiss politician ( CSP ).

Career

Bloetzer completed his studies in civil engineering at the ETH Zurich , which he graduated with a diploma in 1959 and became a member of the Christian Social People's Party of Upper Valais (CSPO).

From 1969 he was in the council of Visp represented and from 1977 to 1992 and mayor . Also from 1977 he sat in the Grand Council of the Canton of Valais . He was elected to the Council of States on November 25, 1991 . There he sat in various commissions and presided over the foreign affairs commission . On December 5, 1999, he resigned from office.

In the Swiss Army he held the degree of colonel .
