Peter Camenzind (athlete)

Peter Camenzind (* 1951 ) is a Swiss long-distance runner who specializes in marathons and ultramarathons .

Camenzind starts for the SSC Langnau . Among other things, he won the Swiss Alpine Marathon in Davos three times in a row and has been the record holder on the 100 km route of the Biel running days (6:37:59 h) since 1996 . At the same time, he holds the current Swiss record in the 100 km road race . He was also successful in the Comrades Marathon and the New York City Marathon , winning age groups.

He set his best marathon time in 1987 with 2:21:22 h.
