Peter Daser

Peter Daser (* 1971 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian radio journalist and editor in the domestic policy department of ORF -Radio-Information.

After completing school in Tyrol and graduating from the German School in Paris , Daser studied international economics at the University of Innsbruck and in Nice . He graduated in 1998.

During his studies, he worked as a freelancer in the current service of the ORF regional studio in Tyrol from 1995. For a radio report about the avalanche disaster in Galtür in February 1999, he was awarded the Tyrolean Journalism Prize in 2000. In the same year Daser moved to the Wiener Funkhaus , in the economic department of the radio information. In the fall of 2001 he was a Media Fellow at Duke University , North Carolina , USA . Since 2006 Daser has been a member of the internal political editorial team on ORF radio.

He designs articles, interviews and programs for the news and journals on Ö1, Ö3 and ORF regional radio stations. Peter Daser is also the ORF editor's representative. On May 24, 2012, Federal President Heinz Fischer presented him with the Robert Hochner Prize , awarded by the journalists' union.
