Peter Fraas

Peter J. Fraas (born May 4, 1957 in Thurnau ) is a German television and radio presenter.

Career

After graduating from high school in 1977 at the Markgraf-Georg-Friedrich-Gymnasium in Kulmbach and the subsequent civil service at the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) in Bayreuth , Fraas began studying economics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , which he obtained in 1984 with a diploma completed.

After winning a speaker competition of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (BR) in 1978, he worked as a presenter in the radio program Bayern 3 parallel to his professional training . As station spokesman, he shaped the vocal face of the wave, particularly through the Hitkiste program, which has been broadcast on Saturday afternoons since the mid-1980s . In the course of a new conception of the wave, Fraas switched to Bayern 1 as spokesman in 1991 . In his popular program Die Blaue Couch , he interviewed greats such as Veronica Ferres and Max von Thun . Since 2008 he has also moderated the new digital radio wave of the BR Bayern plus .

From 1985 on, he also regularly took on the role of moderation in the Bavarian television program . Initially he was seen as a program presenter. Since 2000 he has moderated the regional window of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation in the evening program of the ARD , was the presenter of the evening show , the evening information program of the BR, and from 2002 to April 2016 presented the Bayernlos lottery on Thursdays from 6:35 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. as part of the evening show of the Bavarian television .
