Peter Kemp Hoag Junior (born March 17, 1954 in Minneapolis , Minnesota ) is a former American biathlete .

Hoag graduated from Minneapolis North High School in 1972, where he was active in skiing, athletics and tennis. He then studied at the University of New Hampshire .

In the biathlon, Hoag was national champion in the sprint competition over 10 kilometers in 1977 and in 1978 in the individual race over 20 kilometers. At the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck , he was a substitute, but was not used. Hoag experienced his second Winter Olympics in Lake Placid in 1980 . In the sprint over 10 kilometers, he finished 45th, the relay competition with his teammates Martin Hagen , Lyle Nelson and Donald Nielsen Jr. he finished 8th.
