Peter Lenes (born April 3, 1986 in Shelburne , Vermont ) is an Austrian - American ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Austrian first division club EC Graz 99ers since May 2010 .
Career
Lenes began his career with the Sioux City Musketeers in the United States Hockey League and then spent four years on the University of Vermont team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . He had his first professional engagement in the 2009/10 season with the ECHL team Ontario Reign , with which he did not reach the playoffs. He scored his first goal as a professional player on November 8, 2009 in an 8-2 away win over the Bakersfield Condors . Overall, he brought it to 13 goals and ten assists this season .
In spring 2010 Lenes, who also has Austrian citizenship, was signed by the Graz 99ers, for whom he will play in the Austrian ice hockey league from the 2010/11 season .
