Peter Pilates

Peter Pilates (born May 31, 1892 in Roerkempen near Heinsberg , † May 17, 1978 in Grebben ) was a German politician ( center and CDU ).

Life and work

After attending primary school , he worked as a clerk and chairman of the workers' council of a glossy material factory. From 1919 to 1933 was a member of the German Center Party and from 1945 a member of the CDU.

He was married and had two children.

MP

From April 20, 1947 to July 12, 1958, Pilates was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in the constituency 004 Geilenkirchen-Heinsberg.

From 1945 he was community representative and from 1945 to 1948 mayor in Oberbruch and from 1945 official representative and from 1945 to 1948 mayor in the office of Oberbruch-Dremmen. From 1945 to 1954 he was a member of the district council.

Public offices

From November 2, 1948 to November 4, 1954 he was district administrator of the Selfkantkreis Geilenkirchen-Heinsberg .
