Peter Reik

Peter Reik (born June 5, 1955 in Ebersbach an der Fils ) is a German diplomatic assistant , author and poet . He also publishes under the pseudonym Pyotr Reiz .

Life

From 1971 to 1975 he completed vocational training as an industrial clerk and then worked in the profession. From 1975 to 1976 he did his community service as a paramedic with the Red German Red Cross . Then he went to the voluntary peace service with the Action Reconciliation Peace Services (ASF) in Jerusalem (Israel) until 1978 .

1978–1979 he completed an apprenticeship at the Foreign Office in Milan. From 1980 to 1983 worked in the diplomatic service in Tel Aviv. Subsequently, he moved to Great Britain as the country representative of the Action Reconciliation Service for the years 1983–1986, where he was in charge of a trilateral youth exchange project in Portugal. In 1986 and 1987 he worked for the Foreign Office in Bonn. 1987–1990 followed a consular service in Zagreb ( Yugoslavia ). Between 1990 and 1995 worked in the diplomatic service in Tel Aviv (Israel) and Zagreb ( Croatia ). A consular service in Lyon (France) followed from 1995 to 1998 . Since 1999 he has worked for the Foreign Office in Bonn and Berlin in various activities in the political and economic departments.

Peter Reik represented the Foreign Office from 2009 to 2013 in the scientific committee of the German UNESCO Commission (DUK). He represents the Federal Foreign Office in the German Office for International Cooperation in Vocational Education and Training ( GOVET ) , the Federal Government's central office for international vocational training cooperation .

As a freelance author, Peter Reik publishes poems and articles in periodicals ( Nordwest-Zeitung , Bonner Rundschau , Bonner Generalanzeiger , Israel-Nachrichten ).

Reik holds the Federal Cross of Merit and is an honorary member of the advisory board of FORUM46 - Interdisciplinary Forum for Europe .

He developed union involvement and, under the influence of Willy Brandt's policy, became a member of the SPD .

Reik was responsible for the "German-Polish Cooperation Foundation", worked as a country worker for Hong Kong , Macau , Taipei , was assigned to the Iraq task force until 2008 and is currently a clerk and advisor in the innovation and technology department. Reik was for longer business stays in Italy , the former Yugoslavia , Croatia and Portugal . From 2009 to 2014 he was jointly responsible for the development of "German Science and Innovation Houses" at 5 international locations.
