Peter Richter (building economist)

Peter Richter (* 1949 in Augsburg ) is a German systems analyst , industrial engineer and architect . He has been Professor of Planning and Building Economics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology since 1994 .

Life

Peter Richter studied architecture (1974; Dipl.-Ing.), Work and economics (1977; Dipl.-Wi.-Ing.) And urban and regional planning (1979; Dipl.-Ing.) At the Technical University of Munich and Computer science at the Fernuniversität in Hagen . Since 1978 he worked in the planning and construction industry. Since 1982 he has been a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and works as an architect and consultant.

Since 1985 he has held various teaching positions. From 1986 to 1988 he was a research assistant at the University of Kassel. In 1988 Richter became a Dr.-Ing. At the University of Kassel (GhK) with Wolfgang Rösel with the work "Development of an integrated information structure for relational database systems in construction" . PhD .

In 1994 he received a reputation as a university professor for planning and construction economics at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Karlsruhe (TH) (since 2009 Karlsruhe Institute of Technology).

Richter lives in Tettnang .

Act

The main research areas of Richter are database systems and planning systems in construction, especially documentation and information systems in building management and building stock. He has developed several computer programs for this.
