Peter Seyffardt
Hans-Peter Seyffardt (born May 10, 1954 ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Hessian state parliament in the 18th electoral period from 2009 to 2014 .
education and profession
After graduating from high school in 1975 and the subsequent military service, Hans-Peter Seyffardt went to South Africa as a trainee winemaker for a year. From 1977 to 1980 he completed a degree in viticulture and beverage technology at the Geisenheim Faculty of the Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences , and then went to Argentina for seven months. Seyffart has been working at the Diefenhardt winery in Eltville am Rhein / Martinsthal since 1982 , initially as technical operations manager and co-owner, and since 1997 as operations manager and owner.
politics
Hans-Peter Seyffardt has been a member of the CDU since 1981. Since 1988 he has been chairman of the Martinsthal local association and since 1995 on the board of the Eltville city association.
Seyffardt has been a city councilor for the city of Eltville am Rhein since 1993 and was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group from 1997 to 2003. Since 2003 he has chaired the CDU parliamentary group.
Since February 6, 2009 Seyffardt was a member of the Hessian state parliament. He replaced Petra Müller-Klepper , who moved to the Hessian Ministry of Labor, Family and Health as State Secretary and had to resign from her parliamentary mandate. In the state elections , he ran as a representative of Müller-Klepper in the Rheingau-Taunus I constituency . In the state parliament, Seyffardt was a member of the committee for the environment, rural areas and consumer protection, the petitions committee and the social policy committee. At the end of the electoral term, he left the state parliament.
Other offices
Seyffardt is a member of the advisory board of Rheingauer Winzerbedarf GmbH. He is honorary chairman of the participant group Flurbereinigung Eltville-Walluf and also honorary president of the Rheingauer Weinbauverband eV since July 2013
Family and personal
Hans-Peter Seyffardt is of Roman Catholic denomination, is married and has two children. His interests include appearances with the Rheingauer Mundartverein (see Rheingauer Platt ) and singing. His sister Ulrike Neradt was wine year German wine queen 1972-73.
