Peter Swanson

Peter Swanson (born 1968 ) is an American writer.

Life

Peter Swanson studied at Trinity College and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received an MFA in Poetry from Emerson College . He lives in Somerville , Massachusetts with his wife .

Swanson released his first thriller in 2014 . The book The Girl With a Clock For a Heart was on the shortlist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize . The second novel, The Kind Worth Killing , won the New England Society Book Award and was a finalist in the CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger . The two books have been translated into several languages.

While writing, he learned from Stephen King's guide to life and writing , and he names John D. MacDonald as his literary role model .
