Peter Zamory (born December 17, 1952 in Hamburg-Altona ) is a German politician ( Bündnis90 / Die Grünen ) and general practitioner.

Life

Zamory went to the Altona high school in Hamburg. After graduating from high school in 1971, he studied medicine at the University of Hamburg . He graduated in 1981. Zamory is a resident general practitioner in Hamburg-Ottensen . He is second married to the Hamburg painter Yohana R. Hirschfeld and has two children.

politics

Zamory was initially involved in the group International Marxists , for which he - u. a. together with Norbert Hackbusch - ran in Hamburg in the 1976 federal election: Zamory in the Hamburg-Altona constituency, Hackbusch in the Hamburg-Harburg constituency. Zamory has been a member of the Green Alternative List (GAL) since 1986 , which later changed its name to the regional association of Bündnis90 / Die Grünen. At the end of the 14th electoral term from August 1992, when he replaced Michael Pollmann , he was a member of the citizenship of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg until 2001, i.e. until after the beginning of the 16th electoral term, and was re-elected in 2020 for the 22nd electoral term Hamburg state parliament elected. During his first term in parliament, he spoke out in favor of the release of hashish , among other things . In his opinion, "98 percent of young people who enjoy a joint or eat a hash cookie [...] do not become socially conspicuous, ill or addicted." For him that is a gateway drug number one alcohol.

In the context of the discussion in 1999 about the allegedly insufficient earnings of doctors, Zamory said: "I think that this is really a bit obscene, that a professional group that has certainly been trained for a long time and does not earn badly, it should also earn well, but with this mass unemployment, she thinks that I have to deduct the poverty number.
