Peter Zenk

Peter Zenk (born September 26, 1943 in Munich ) is a German film producer .

Peter Zenk received the Bavarian Film Award (Producer Award 1994) for Charlie & Louise - Das doppelte Lottchen .

Together with Uschi Reich , Zenk produced several children's films, including the films about the wild chickens based on the book series Die Wilden Hühner by Cornelia Funke as well as Emil and the Detectives and The Flying Classroom as film adaptations of children's books by Erich Kästner . The film The Flying Classroom received the German Film Prize (Gold Film Prize 2003, Best Children's and Youth Film) and the Bavarian Film Prize (2003 Producer Prize). Among other things, he took part in the 2014 television film “ Sophie kocht ”, in which Annette Frier and Alfons Schuhbeck also starred.

Zenk is a member of the German Film Academy .
