Peter Zwegat

Peter Zwegat (born February 22, 1950 in East Berlin ) is a German debt counselor , graduate social worker ( FH ) and TV actor. He lives in Berlin.

Life

Peter Zwegat grew up in Berlin-Pankow . His parents left the GDR with him and his two siblings when he was 10 years old. After training as an administrative officer , he studied social pedagogy at a university of applied sciences from 1970 to 1974 and graduated as a social pedagogue . From 1974 to 1987 he was employed in the social and health sector and in youth welfare for the State of Berlin .

In 1987 he switched to the non-profit association “Services for Employees and Companies”, a debtor and insolvency advice center in the Kreuzberg district , where he was managing director and chairman of the board until 2018. He has not held any consultations since then.

In 2017/2018 Zwegat worked as a life advisor at the Berlin start-up "my better life".

Zwegat has been in a relationship with Liane Scholze since 2006, who runs a consulting agency in Berlin and with whom he published a guidebook. They got married on December 25, 2011 in Zanzibar.

Television career

Peter Zwegat became known through the reality TV series Get Out of Debt , broadcast on RTL from 2007 to 2015 , in which he helped over-indebted people. Even after 2015 there were individual programs in the series u. a. A celebrity special in 2016. In June 2019, a special edition recorded two years earlier was broadcast on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Get Out of Debt .

In addition, Peter Zwegat made a guest appearance as a debt counselor in the crime parody CIS - Chaoten im Sondereinsatz (2010) and in the comedy show Cindy from Marzahn & Die Junge Wilden . Zwegat appeared in Krömer - The International Show in 2008 and played in a celebrity special of Wer wird Millionär? With.

Get out of debt was repeatedly parodied in the comedy show Switch reloaded , Zwegat was portrayed by Peter Nottmeier .
