Peter von Felbert

Peter von Felbert (* 1966 in Bonn ) is a German photographer .

Life

After graduating from the Collegium Augustinianum Gaesdonck in Goch , where Franz Joseph van der Grinten was his teacher from 1981 to 1986, von Felbert studied visual communication with a focus on photography at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences from 1987 to 1994 with Gottfried Jäger and Joachim among others Brohm . In 1993 Peter von Felbert received a travel grant from the German Academic Exchange Service for the USA, from which his work “America does not exist” emerged. He has lived in Munich since 1994 and initially worked there from 1994 to 1996 as a camera assistant for Bavarian Broadcasting . Since 1996 Felbert has been a freelance photographer in the fields of journalism , portrait , advertising and art .

In the commercial sector, von Felbert has made a name for himself in particular as a portraitist for numerous domestic and foreign writers . His free work is often shown in galleries. Von Felbert worked for a number of magazines and also contributed the photo illustrations for some books. Since 2009 Peter von Felbert's artistic work has been represented by the Wittenbrink Gallery in Munich.
