Peter von Muth
Peter von Muth (born March 7, 1784 in Vienna , † September 9, 1855 in Vorderbrühl ) was an Austrian police officer.
Life
Peter Muth was the son of a buckle maker. After graduating from law school, he joined the police force in 1806. In 1817 he came to Brno as police director and took part in the Troppau prince congress as such . In 1834 he was ennobled . For 1836 Councilor , he was appointed a year later City Captain of Prague , but at the instigation of the Regency Council Kolowrat down again, after which he 1845 police top director was from Vienna. His alleged failure on March 13, 1848 resulted in his immediate resignation.
The Germanist Richard von Muth (pseud. Hermann Nordermann) was his grandson.
