Peter von Sivers
Peter von Si (e) vers (* 1674 in Stade ; † 1740 ), Russian naval officer and admiral of Danish (originally Holstein ) descent.
Initially in Danish services it was founded in 1704 as a captain in the nascent under construction Russian fleet Tsar Peter I accepted. Dismissed as an admiral in 1732, he retired to the Ekekäll estate near Hiitola ( Russian: Chijtola) in Karelia , which had been given to him . He was accepted into the Estonian knighthood in 1716 and thus founded the noble Sivers family.
