Astaf von Transehe-Roseneck

Astaf of Transehe-Roseneck ( Latvian : Astafs fon Tranze-Rozeneks; born January 25 . Jul / 6. February  1865 . Greg in Roseneck ( Livonia ); † 2. July 1946 in Freudenholm (Holstein)) was a Baltic German doctor of philosophy , Historian , genealogist and author.

Life

Alexander Georg Astaf von Transehe-Roseneck came from the Baltic noble family Transehe-Roseneck . His parents were Georg von Transehe-Roseneck (1809–1887) and Wilhelmine von Löwis of Menar (1822–1868). The older brother Georg von Transehe-Roseneck (1845-1908) was a Russian lieutenant general and commander of Gatchina .

He studied law at the University of Dorpat , then economic policy in Munich and Strasbourg . He left Strasbourg with an Honors degree in Philosophy. Afterwards he worked for the Livonian Knighthood as an appraiser and notary.

Transehe was the hereditary lord of Schloss Helmet , Selsau and Kronenhof . He married the district administrator's daughter Leonie von Campenhausen (* 1870) in 1892 . The marriage resulted in five daughters and one son Gert .
