The history of the place goes back about 800 years, in the Middle Ages Petrčane was owned by the monasteries of Chrysogonus of Aquileia and Saint Plato from Zara. This has been taking place in Tisno since 2013 .

The building of the former Bartholomäuskirche (12th to 13th century) with a massive bell tower on the front side has been preserved southeast of the town on the seashore, which later served as a residential building (Kulina). Remains of wall paintings can be seen on the walls.
