Petr Málek (born November 26, 1961 in Moravský Krumlov , † November 30, 2019 in Kuwait City ) was a Czech sports shooter .
successes
Petr Málek, who competed for the Kometa Brno club , took part in two Olympic games in skeet . At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 , he finished 20th with 194 points. It was not until the 2000 Games in Sydney that Málek took part in the Olympics for the second time. He qualified with 124 points for the final, in which he missed only one of 25 goals. With a total of 148 points, he finished behind Mykola Milchev , who hit all targets in the entire competition, and ahead of James Graves, silver. Málek was also world champion with the team in Moscow in 1990 and in Cairo in 2001 . In 1998 he finished second with her in Barcelona and in 1991 third in Perth .
Málek coached the Cypriot national shooting team for over eight years. He was the national coach of Kuwait until his death. He was married and had three children.
