Petr Voříšek (born March 19, 1979 in Děčín , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech football player .

Career

Voříšek's youth clubs were Pelikan Děčín, Kovostroj Děčín and Lokomotiva Děčín before moving to FK Chomutov . In 2001 he went to FK Teplice , from where he moved to Sparta Prague in 2003 for around 800,000 euros. In the 2005/2006 season the Czech played on loan at SV Pasching , which was then FC Superfund.

From summer 2006 he was awarded to SK Rapid Vienna for one season . Despite great interest in a further commitment on the part of the Viennese in the summer of 2007, the negotiations with Sparta Prague broke up and Voříšek had to leave the club. In the first half of the 2007/08 season he was loaned to FK Mladá Boleslav , and Sparta brought him back during the winter break.

Voříšek played four times for the Czech national soccer team and with Sparta Prague in the Champions League .

Voříšek is known for his shooting strength. In the 2006/07 season he scored four goals for the Austrian record champions, all from a distance of 25 to 35 meters.

His regular position used to be the defensive midfield, but at SK Rapid he was also regularly used as a right full- back under coach Peter Pacult , and he also played in the same position at Sparta Prague. In January 2009, Voříšek moved on loan to SCR Altach .

In June 2009 he signed a 2-year contract with an option for another year with Austria Vienna . In summer 2011 Vorisek returned to Altach.

After a year at SC Altach, Vorisek moved to the Regionalliga Mitte for SV Wallern. There he spent four years, with the best performance in 2013/2014 with fourth place in the table. For the 2016/2017 season he moved to the Upper Austrian League for SV Gmunden .
