Petra Kahlfeldt

Petra Kahlfeldt (also Petra Gutheil Kahlfeldt ; * 1960 in Kaiserslautern ) is German architect and professor at the Beuth University of Technology in Berlin.

Life

From 1979 to 1985 she studied architecture at the Technical University of Berlin , including a one-year study abroad at the University of Florence . In 1985 she received her diploma and worked in various architectural offices in Berlin . Since 1987 she has been working independently with her husband Paul Kahlfeldt . From 1990 to 1995 she was a research assistant at the chair for design and building construction at the Technical University of Berlin. In 1997 she received a one-year scholarship at the Deutsche Akademie Rome Villa Massimo . Kahlfeldt was chairwoman of the BDA Berlin from 2001 to 2003 and has been sutor professor for monument preservation and design at the University of Fine Arts and the HafenCity University in Hamburg since 2004 .

In 2006 she was the spokesperson for the architecture department at the HCU; since 2000 she has been a member of the design advisory board of the city of Ostfildern and a member of the state monument council of the city of Berlin and since 2007 a member of the design advisory board of the city of Landshut.

Petra Kahlfeldt is married to Paul Kahlfeldt , has two children and lives with her family in Berlin-Friedenau .
