Petra Müller (born May 1, 1960 in Jülich ) is a German politician of the FDP .

education and profession

Petra Müller obtained her secondary school leaving certificate at the community secondary school in Linnich . After graduating from high school in 1979 at the technical college for art and design in Aachen , Müller completed an apprenticeship as a draftsman in an architecture office in Jülich. From 1981 to 1989 she studied architecture at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences and at the Politécnica de Cataluña University in Barcelona with a degree in engineering. Architect . In 1991 Petra Müller was accepted into the NRW Chamber of Architects and has held the title of architect ever since. After completing her studies, she initially worked as an employed architect in Jülich, Aachen, Stralsund and Kleinmachnow . From 2006 to 2008 Petra Müller also worked as a freelancer for the private broadcaster VOX . Since 2007 she has also been a member of the OAI Chamber of Architects in Luxembourg . After leaving the German Bundestag, Petra Müller worked as Head of Construction for McFit GmbH (later RSG Group ) from 2016 and was responsible for the major project THE MIRAI as Head of Product until 2019. In November 2019, Petra Müller took over the management of project development for DIEAG Projektentwicklungs- und Management GmbH in Berlin.

Political party

Petra Müller joined the FDP in 1983 as a student. From 1984 to 1987 she was a member of the Düren district board . Since 2003 she has been a member of the Aachen district and district board. From 2004 to 2009, Petra Müller was planning policy spokeswoman for the FDP parliamentary group in the Aachen City Council and a member of the Aachen Transport Commission of the regional council of the Cologne administrative district . From 2005 to 2009 she was a member of the architectural council of the city of Aachen and is a member of the state committee for housing and urban development in North Rhine-Westphalia . Because her party failed to pass the five percent hurdle in the 2013 federal election , she was no longer represented in the 18th Bundestag .
