Petra Stuiber

Petra Stuiber (born 1967 in Mödling ) is an Austrian journalist , currently with Standard , and a book author .

Stations

Stuiber studied journalism and theater studies . From 1988 she worked as a freelancer for various Austrian publications, including the monthly magazine Trend and the daily newspaper Kurier . From 1993 she was editor for domestic politics of the daily newspaper Der Standard , from 1999 for the weekly magazine Format . She also worked for the German daily newspaper Die Welt . In 2007 she returned to the standard as head of the Chronik and Vienna department. She published numerous interviews, not only with politicians, but also with the historian Barbara Glück , the ball manager Gery Keszler and the chef Andreas Wojta . Stuiber has also acted as head of duty since 2013 , and as deputy editor-in-chief since March 2018.

She is known for her succinct and occasionally provocative headlines, such as egoists among us , the arduous rescue of the world , liaison between politics and lies or competence with valerian. She has reported on almost all scandals in Austria since the beginning of the 1990s, occasionally also on previous affairs, for example the Noricum scandal , the Lütgendorf case and the Lucona sinking, all scandals from the Kreisky era.
