Petronella Grietje "Petra" van Staveren (born June 2, 1966 in Kampen ) is a former swimmer from the Netherlands .

She celebrated her greatest success in swimming at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles when she became Olympic champion in the 100 m breaststroke . Two years later she won the bronze medal at the swimming world championships with the Dutch 4 × 100 m individual relay relay.
