The Petrel Cove ( Spanish Rada Petrel , Sturmvogelbucht ' ) is a small bay at the western end of the Dundee Island in the archipelago of the Joinville Islands off the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between the headland Welchness and the Diana Reef .
The bay got its name together with the neighboring Argentine Petrel station built between 1951 and 1952 . Both are named after the Antarctic petrel. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 1964.
