Petri Lindroos (born January 10, 1980 in Espoo , Finland ) is a Finnish musician and singer and guitarist for the band Ensiferum since 2004 .

Lindroos (also known as "Pete") began playing guitar at the age of 14 and in 1996 founded the melodic death metal band Norther with Toni Hallio . His favorite bands are the American thrash metal bands Slayer and Megadeth . Lindroos was influenced musically by Marty Friedman and Jeff Hanneman . Since 2004 he has been the singer and guitarist of the Viking and folk metal band Ensiferum.

On March 4, 2009, Norther announced that they were separating from Lindroos. The reason they cited was that his extensive work with Ensiferum would hinder Norther as an active band.
