10th Anniversary Live is the first music DVD / video album by the Finnish folk / viking metal band Ensiferum . It was released on June 28, 2006 via Spinefarm Records .
History of origin
The DVD was created on the occasion of the band's tenth anniversary. The band's New Year's Eve concert was recorded on December 31, 2005 in the Nosturi Music Hall in Helsinki . With around 750 visitors, the hall was completely filled and sold out. In spring 2006 the recorded material was mixed by Nino Laurenne in Sonic Pump Studios and then mastered by Mika Jussila in Finnvox Studios .

criticism
In general, the reviews of 10th Anniversary Live have been quite positive. The "meager size" of the DVD was criticized only occasionally, as it only contains the concert without any bonus material. The DVD sold very well, especially in Finland, so that it entered the Finnish music DVD charts at number 2 in early July.
In his review, Stefan Popp from metal1.info emphasizes the size of the DVD as a weakness, but recommends it to both fans and the curious. He concludes his conclusion with the words "Good music, good entertainment, pure Ensiferum. Sweet, cute, personable and fun" and awards 7.5 out of 10 points. Arlette Huguenin from Webzine Vampster describes the DVD as successful, but also complains about the tight size. Adam from metal-observer.com leads another point of criticism with an audience that is too quietly mixed and that you rarely see them. Overall, however, he praises the DVD, recommends it for both Ensiferum and genre fans and awards 8.5 out of 10 points.
