Parish Church Alkoven (Upper Austria)
The Roman Catholic parish church Alkoven is located in the municipality of Alkoven in the Eferding district in Upper Austria . It is consecrated to St. Margaret and belongs to the Deanery Eferding in the Diocese of Linz . The building is under monument protection ( list entry ).
history
The church is first mentioned in a document at the end of the 10th century. The building is a late Gothic stacked church that was heavily redesigned in the 19th century.

- Church exterior
The church is originally a late Gothic staggered church that was changed in the 19th century. The west tower dates from 1469 and was modified in 1879. The pointed helmet is eight-sided.
- Church interior
The Gothic church has a three-aisled nave with six aisle bays. The nave is vaulted with net ribs and dates from around 1500. The choir has a single bay and ends at the five-eighth end . The choir is vaulted with ribs . The two-bay west gallery rests on ribbed vaults.
Furnishing
The decor is neo-Gothic . A late Gothic relief from the beginning of the 16th century shows the "Martyrdom of St. Margaret".
