The Roman Catholic parish church of Bachmanning is in the village of Bachmanning in the municipality of Bachmanning in the Wels-Land district in Upper Austria . The church, consecrated to St. Erasmus , belongs to the Deanery Gaspoltshofen in the Diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

history

A church was mentioned in documents in 927. The late Gothic church building from the 15th century has been extensively renovated on the outside.

architecture

The nave and choir are vaulted with mesh ribs . The single-nave, three-and-a-half-bay nave is joined by the lower, retracted, single-bay choir, which has moved out of the axis, with a five -eighth end . Frescoes from the end of the 15th century were uncovered in 1959. The west tower has a new pointed helmet. The late Gothic south portal shows the building inscription 1489 and has a door with heavy late Gothic fittings.

Furnishing

The pulpit is from the baroque period . The rest of the furnishings are neo-Gothic and were changed in 1959. The left side altar bears a baroque group of figures Coronation of Mary from the first quarter of the 18th century.

There is a late Gothic Vesper image as a bas-relief from the beginning of the 16th century, which was restored in 1955.
