Building description

The church is a late Gothic building completed in 1530 . At the nave are two-stage, three-stage at the same width choir buttresses that are placed diagonally in the middle. The west tower is set in the Emporenjoch and protrudes slightly from the facade. The tower has two-lane Gothic tracery windows on the bell floor and is crowned by a pointed helmet from the 19th century. The church has two-lane tracery windows on the nave and choir. A Roman grave inscription fragment is attached to the eastern outer wall. Another Roman period relief fragment with vegetative decoration is located on the left pillar of the cemetery entrance. The painted baroque portal frame with the representation of Saint John and Saint Margaret on the south portal was created by Johannes Sattler in the middle of the 18th century. The church is entered through the Gothic profiled west portal. The entrance to the gallery is marked 1847 on the south side. The vaulted vestibule under the west gallery is open in three arcades to the nave.

A ribbed vault on circular services with octagonal capitals from the late 15th century rises above the single-nave, three-bay nave . The net rib vault in the one-yoke choir with five-eighth closure rests on service and is marked M. Niklas 1530 at the eastern cross of the ribs. A late baroque square vaulted chapel is built on the north side of the middle nave yoke . The sacristy with a lancet vault is located on the north side of the choir. The mural on the north wall of the nave shows, among other things, the Mannalese worshiping the cross and is marked with 1541 on the votive inscription. The Gothic rib vault of the nave is decorated with paintings by Johann Sattler from 1753. An illusionistic dome is painted in each of the three bays. In each of the corner diamonds, interpreted as trumpets , an apostle is depicted on cartouches , showing their martyrdom. The Credo is reproduced on inscription cartridges in the stitch caps .
