Traunfeld parish church
The Roman Catholic parish church of Traunfeld is located in the center of the village of Traunfeld in the municipality of Hochleithen in the Mistelbach district in Lower Austria . It is consecrated to St. John Nepomuk and belongs to the Wolkersdorf deanery in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The building is a listed building .
history
The church was built in 1797. It was restored inside in 1974 and outside in 1979.
architecture
The church is a simple, late Baroque hall building with a frame structure and a flat, round choir closure. A roof turret with an elongated onion helmet rises above the west facade between volute cradles . The central travées are slightly curved on the side fronts . The side facades are divided by frame structures.
The interior has a square vault .
Furnishing
The altarpiece shows St. John Nepomuk. The picture from the end of the 18th century was painted over at a later time. In the entrance yoke there is a building inscription and a memorial plaque for the South Tyrolean freedom fighter and pastor Haspinger.
organ
The organ was made by Rudolf Novak in 1975 .
