Pfelders
Pfelders ( Italian Plan ) is located in South Tyrol ( Italy ) in the Pfelder Valley , a side valley of the rear Passeier Valley , at an altitude of 1630 m . The village, a fraction of the municipality of Moos in Passeier , is surrounded by the Texel Group Nature Park and lies at the foot of the Hinteres Seelenkogel ( 3426 m ) and the Hochwilden ( 3482 m ).
The tourist development is still relatively modest and the valley is quite calm. The ski area has a total of 18 kilometers of alpine slopes up to 2520 m , a 3.5-kilometer toboggan run and 11 kilometers of cross-country skiing trails and is a member of the Ortler Ski Arena . The expansion of the ski facilities has largely been completed. There is a chair / gondola lift for 6 people per chair or gondola, which are equipped with a protective hood and heated seats, a Karjochbahn chairlift built in 2009 in which four people can sit per chair (also with a protective hood and heated seats) with which you can get up to on the Karjoch, 2520 m above sea level, but only with skis. There are also two smaller t-bar lifts (Gampen and Zeppichllift) on the small slopes. Between the valley station of the "Grünboden-Express", Pfelders, the Gampenlift and Zeppichl, the city bus and the so-called soft mobile have been running since 2007, because access to Pfelders and Zeppichl by car is now only allowed to villagers and guests. The soft mobile only runs in winter - between hotels and the ski slopes. This serves to keep the traffic in the place low. In order to keep day visitors mobile in the village, city buses and soft mobiles have been introduced. Outside of the ski season, in summer, Pfelders is a popular destination for hikers and mountaineers. When there is no snow, only the Grünboden Express lift (only with gondolas) is in operation. There are several pensions, hotels and holiday apartments or apartments throughout the village that can accommodate around 300 guests.
