description

The Pharaoh Riddim averages 139 bpm . It is available in two instrumental versions. In the second version, all elements of the original riddim were used. Both differ in that the second version sounds choppy and the clocking bass only strikes in 1/4 time per 4/4 loop .

The Pharaoh Riddim begins with a mixture of a drum surface, electronic tones and a partially scratched song that has an Arabic-oriental effect. The intro ends with a refrain , played by trombones , which accompanies the entire track at certain intervals. The riddim looks a bit gloomy overall.

The riddim is kept pretty monotonous . The clock is set by a deep, long bass . In a 4/4 time it only strikes in a 2/4 time, i.e. twice per loop. In the monotonous but complex melody, a minimal play of trombones stands out. This is accompanied by a berimbau melody that takes a back seat . The whole thing is overlaid by electronic effects from a synthesizer and an Arabic-sounding song with the same voice from the intro and a drawn-out ohh from another voice. The trombone melody of the intro almost always comes at the end of an overall loop. Various percussion instruments accompany the riddim.
