Philipp Albrecht Christfels (also Philipp Albert Christfels ; born July 17, 1732 in Wechingen , † March 29, 1811 in Appetshofen ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran clergyman and theologian.

Life

Christfels was the rector of the seminary in Oettingen . He later became a pastor in Appetshofen, now a part of the community Möttingen in the Swabian district of Donau-Ries , and from 1798 also held the office of Princely Oettingscher special superintendent of the local deanery . He still held this office after the principality passed to the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1806. He also wrote theological works.

His gravestone is preserved on the outer wall of the tower of the Evangelical Lutheran parish church of St. James . There is a longer inscription on the Solnhofer stone .
